PREVIEW: Busy Weekend Lies Ahead for Joey Pederson Racing

EAST GRAND FORKS, Minn. (July 26, 2019) – A busy two-race weekend for all three Joey Pederson Racing drivers kicks off tonight at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks. Tomorrow, all three drivers will head to Greenbush Race Park as well. 

It’s an NLRA Late Model tour doubleheader for Joey this weekend at both tracks. In his first River Cities NLRA appearance of the season on June 7th, Pederson raced to a solid second-place finish to 10-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car champion, Donny Schatz. In his most recent NLRA appearance at the Bullring, mechanical issues in the feature led to a DNF and took him out of the River Cities Speedway track championship chase for the time being. 

Joey was in action last weekend at River Cities Speedway for a weekly WISSOTA Late Model event. After a fifth-place run in his heat, Pederson raced from 10th to finish seventh. 

Joey currently sits fourth in the River Cities Speedway point standings.

Kelsi will be looking to rebound this weekend after a DNF last Saturday night at Greenbush. Kelsi has three wins on the season, with one of them coming at River Cities on June 21st. In her most recent start at the three-tenths mile oval on June 23rd, Kelsi raced to a third-place finish. 

Tucker comes into Friday’s event sitting eighth in an extremely competitive WISSOTA Street Stock division. Tucker finished eighth in last Friday’s feature. The driver of the No. 27P has one win this season at the Bullring, which came on June 28th.
