EAST GRAND FORKS, N.D. (August 9, 2019) – Kelsi Pederson parked her No. 93 NLSA Lightning Sprint in victory lane for the fifth time this season last night at Norman County Raceway in Ada, Minn.
Kelsi started on the pole for the 15-lap main event and took the lead on the opening lap over Murray Temple. Once out front, she built up a comfortable lead as she raced to the checkered flag unchallenged.
Kelsi’s margin of victory was over three seconds, equating to a full straightaway on the big three-eighths mile oval. The win was Kelsi’s first at Norman County Raceway.
Tonight, Kelsi heads back to River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks where she will shoot for her second win of the season at the speedway.
Tucker and Joey will also be competing at River Cities tonight.
Joey will be looking to improve upon last Friday night’s seventh place run at the Bullring. Joey currently sits fourth in the River Cities Speedway Late Model point standings with 10 events in the books, 92 markers behind leader Brad Seng.
Tucker will also be looking to rebound after a couple of tough outings last weekend. With nine Street Stock events completed at the speedway thus far, Tucker sits sixth in the standings, 126 markers out of the lead. One of the largest Street Stock payouts in track history will be up for grabs tonight with $1,200 going to the winner.
Tucker has two feature wins at River Cities Speedway this season, backed by three top fives and four top tens.
Racing begins at 7pm tonight at River Cities!
The entire Joey Pederson Racing team would like to thank all of their great sponsors for their continued support!
