Joey Pederson collects two podium finishes over doubleheader weekend

EAST GRAND FORKS, Minn. (June 30, 2020) – Joey Pederson had his most consistent weekend of racing of the season this past Friday and Saturday night. Pederson picked up heat race wins and finished on the podium both night. 

The driver of the Dahlstrom Motors / Olson Underground No. 7P rolled off outside of row three for Friday night’s feature at River Cities Speedway. Pederson cracked the top three on lap two before working his way around Steve Anderson for second. 

From there, Pederson set his sights on Tom Corcoran for the lead. A late-race restart put Pederson on the rear bumper of Corcoran, but the 51-year racing veteran was too strong on Friday as Pederson had to settle for second. 

On Saturday, Pederson made the 65-mile trek west on Highway 2 to Devils Lake Speedway for the NLRA season opener. Pederson started and finished third, but was in contention for the win nearly the entire race. Pederson battled with former NLRA series champions Brad Seng and Dustin Strand before collecting his fourth top-five finish of the weekend. 

Kelsi Pederson drove her No. 93 Lightning Sprint into victory lane at Devils Lake Speedway for the third time this season and fourth time overall. She also scored a runner-up finish at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo on Friday night. 

Tucker Pederson also had two solid finishes over the weekend. He drove from 10th to seventh in Friday’s feature at River Cities Speedway. On Saturday, he was the hard charger of the Street Stock main event, advancing from eighth to third. 

This weekend, both Joey and Tucker will be at River Cities Speedway on Friday night. On Saturday, all three Joey Pederson Racing drivers will be at Greenbush Race Park as the speedway opens their doors for the first time this season.
