East Grand Forks, MINN. (June 25, 2025) - 370 after his first career Late Model victory at Devils Lake Speedway near Crary, North Dakota, Tucker won his first Northern Late Model Racing Association sanctioned main event last Saturday night. All three Pederson Racing drivers were in attendance at Devils Lake Speedway on Saturday night as the series returned to the track which hosted the Golden Hammer Classic just one week prior. Joey and Tucker finished with feature redraw spots as the both ran second in their heat races. Kelsi, who was coming off her third place finish at the track last week, finished fourth in the heat race she shared with Tucker. Tucker picked the number one frisbee, giving him the pole for the 25-lap main event. Joey drew the five giving him a spot on the inside of row three with Kelsi starting inside row six. Tucker shared the front row with Travis Robertson at the start, but it was the latter that got a good run off the cushion and led the opening lap. Tucker remained within a car length of the lead as Joey moved past Brad Seng for the fourth spot. On lap eight, Tucker moved to Robertson's outside down the backstretch and completed the lap as the new leader. Two laps later, the leaders started working lapped traffic, but Tucker was able to continue working the high-side of the one-third mile oval to retain the lead. At the midway point, Robertson again showed his nose to Tucker heading into turn three but was unable to regain the top spot. As Tucker continued to lead, Dustin strand went door-to-door with Joey in an attempt to try and take the fourth spot. Lapped traffic got thicker with ten to go as the leaders came up on six lapped cars. With seven remaining, mechanical issues sent Joey to the infield, ending his race. By then, Tucker was sliding lap cars, running the diamond line off turn two and ran the bottom of turn three, building a ten car length lead with two to go. Tucker put a pair of lapped cars between him in the final six turns to score his first NLRA victory. This was Tucker's second win at Devils Lake, the first coming on June 15th of 2024 in a very similar race which went 25-laps caution free with Tucker starting on the pole.
