Tucker Scores Third Top Five Of The Year At Devils Lake

EAST GRAND FORKS, Minn. (June 30, 2021) - Weather made for a light week on the Pederson Family racing schedule last weeks, as the Pederson boys were the only competitors in a weekend that was originally scheduled to be a busy one.

After a rainout on Friday for Tucker at River Cities Speedway, Joey and Tucker made their way west to Devils Lake Speedway for the third annual NLRA Golden Hammer Classic.

Joey, who was coming off a very popular win at River Cities just eight days prior, stormed from sixth to second in his heat race, earning him a spot in the NLRA feature redraw.

Tucker, meanwhile, finished sixth in his heat race, giving him the 11th starting spot in his 20 lap main event.

Tucker charged up to seventh in the first three laps of the 20 lap main event.

He slipped back to as low as ninth, but in the final seven laps of the race, stormed back though the field to fourth with five laps to go, but finished in the fifth spot.

Joey started seventh in the main event, but finished with a DNF.

Both Joey and Tucker will be back at River Cities Speedway on Friday night. On Saturday, Tucker and Kelsi will head to Greenbush Race Park.
