Tucker Passes 16 Cars in Seitz Memorial Feature Debut

East Grand Forks, Minn. (Sept. 9, 2025) - Tucker Pederson raced his way into last Saturday night’s John Seitz Memorial main event and charged through the field to score his first career top ten in the 92-lap finale, finishing ninth after starting 25th for his 20th top ten of the 2025 campaign.

​The Pederson trio started the Seitz Memorial weekend with their qualifying heat races. Joey was the first one out, starting on the pole and holding off eventual Seitz Memorial champion Cole Schill and seventh starting Jake Redetzke to win the 15-lap race to put himself in the show for the first time in three years.

Kelsi started and finished sixth in the fifth heat while Tucker went from the ninth and final spot in the sixth and final heat to finish sixth himself. This put both Kelsi and Tucker in the third and final B Main on Saturday evening.

It was a bit of a slow start for both drivers as they battled for position with each other early on in the 20-lapper. While Kelsi battled in the middle of the pack at the midway point, Tucker started catching former Seitz champion Mitch Johnson and Greg Friestad late in the race, taking the final transfer spot.

Tucker started 25th in the 92-lap finale while Joey started on the inside of the third row. Joey’s night came to an end on the 17th lap of the race leaving Tucker as the last of the Pederson crew remaining in the event.

Tucker was running 20th at the lap 32 fuel stop and climbed into the top 15 one lap past the midway point. Tucker remained on the lead lap in the second half of the race and battled with Jason Strand and Troy Schill on the final restart with three laps remaining to finish ninth in his Seitz Memorial feature debut.
