East Grand Forks, Minn. (August 5, 2025) - Tucker picked up his second consecutive podium last Friday night at River Cities Speedway while Kelsi went on to finish fourth in the season long standings at Devils Lake Speedway near Crary, North Dakota. Joey also scored two top fives at River Cities and Devils Lake as the Late Model season came to an end at the latter of the two tracks. Joey and Tucker finished their heat races on Friday night with redraw spots with Joey charging from sixth to second in his heat and Tucker going from sixth to third in his heat. Kelsi finished outside of the redraw following a fifth-place finish in her heat. Tucker started on the outside of the front row for the 20-lap main event with Joey on the outside of row three and Kelsi on the inside of the seventh row. Hall of Famer Tom Corcoran led the opening lap from the pole of the Hall of Fame night main event with Tucker and Dustin Strand close behind in second and third respectively. Tucker got a good run off the top of turn two to take the lead and lead the second circuit. Strand followed him into second though Tucker continued to lead until the first and only caution on lap six. Tucker led down the backstretch as the race went back green, but he finished the lap door-to-door with Strand for the lead. Strand was the new leader, but Tucker fought off a hard charging Tyler Peterson for the second spot through the midway point of the race. Tucker and Peterson continued to battle as the leaders caught up to the rear of the field at the beginning of the second half of the race. Tucker got caught up in traffic in the closing laps which allowed the top two to get away, but he finished the race with his second consecutive podium at the Bullring. Joey finished fifth with Kelsi finishing 18th. Saturday night, the Pederson’s made their last trip of the 2025 season to Devils Lake and started the night with a heat win for Tucker, a runner-up to Dustin Strand for Joey in his heat, and a fourth place run for Kelsi in the heat she shared with Tucker. The final 20-lap feature of the season at the three-tenths mile oval saw Joey start fourth with Tucker fifth and Kelsi in seventh. Joey moved up to third on the initial start and stayed in a podium position until the final lap when he battled with Tucker and Brody Troftgruben for third through fifth. When the checkers flew, Tucker finished fourth with Joey fifth and Kelsi sixth. The Pederson’s will continue the August portion of the schedule with a return trip to River Cities on Friday night. 2025 Stats: Joey: Races: 16 Wins: 0 Top Fives: 7 Top Tens: 10 Kelsi: Races: 16 Wins: 0 Top Fives: 3 Top Tens: 8 Tucker: Races: 17 Wins: 2 Top Fives: 7 Top Tens: 13 Special thanks to our sponsors and friends who support us week in and week out, we couldn’t do it without you all!
