By Spieker Promotions EAST GRAND FORKS, Minn. (August 26, 2020) – It's the dog days of summer, and for Pederson Racing, that means turning attention to points battles. Tucker leads the points in Greenbush with three races remaining, while Kelsi will now have a slight deficit to make up in the Minn-Kota Lightning Sprints battle after some bad luck last week. Last Friday at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, Kelsi headed into the night with a six point lead over Dexter Dvergsten, and it looked as though she would maintain that lead. Kelsi started all the way back in the 10th position at the start of the main event. She wasted little time moving forward, however, as she ran seventh at the opening lap. After another pass on lap five, Kelsi made another pair of moves, climbing all the way to fourth at the conclusion of the sixth lap. That rally came to an end two laps later, as the chain broke on the No. 93 Shawn Horn Crary Realty / Advantage Lawn Care & Landscaping Henchcraft, ending her race. Kelsi returned home and made repairs before she joined Tucker for another night at Greenbush Race Park. Tucker started 10th in the main event. A late rally commenced on lap 10, as he ran ninth for the majority of the race in his No. 27 Olson Underground / admonkeys.com Street Stock. Two more passes in the final six circuits earned Tucker a seventh place finish, ending the night with an 18 point lead with three races remaining at Greenbush. Joey Pederson was also in action last week, as he raced the No. 7P MarKit County Grain / Big Jim's Tire Victory with the NLRA Late Models at River Cities Speedway. After charging from fifth to third in his heat race, Joey was slated to start eighth in the main event. Joey moved forward early in the race, as he climbed into the top five just six laps into the 25- lapper. Joey bounced between fifth and sixth in the latter half of the race, eventually finishing in the sixth position. This week, Tucker and Joey will both race at River Cities on Friday night, then Kelsi will join Tucker again at Greenbush Race Park, before Kelsi ends the weekend for Pederson Racing at Sheyenne Speedway in Lisbon, ND.
