East Grand Forks, Minn. (June 10, 2024) - Kelsi Pederson picked up the first victory of the season for Pederson Racing Sunday night in Lightning Sprint action at Buffalo River Speedway in Glyndon, MN, leading every lap of the 20-lap main event to win his 27th career feature in teh No. 93 Levi Babcock Construction / R&R Farms Henchcraft.
After winning the heat from the pole, Kelsi started on the pole of the feature race and took the lead from fellow front row starter Hayden Koehmstedt from the drop of the green. Five green flag laps later Kelsi was ahead by an entire straightaway on the quarter-mile oval.

With six circuits remaining, Kelsi put a pair of lapped cars between herself and a closing Matthew Taves to continue to hold a big lead. Nearly a green-to-checkered race saw one caution with three to go, erasing Kelsi's advantage. Kelsi held off Taves on the restart to win her first feature of the 2024 season.

Joey and Tucker ran a pair of Late Model races over the weekend starting Friday night with the NLRA at River Cities Speedway as the series co-headlined with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series.

Joey and Tucker lined up beside each other in the opening heat of the night and remained side-by-side through the first lap.

Joey went on to win the heat race in the No. 7P B&E Meats / Big Jim's Tire Rocket XR1 while Tucker finished fifth in the No. 27P North Dakota Eye Clinic / Amy Dallum Photography MB Custom.

Following a two-hour rain delay, Joey started seventh and Tucker started 16th in the 25-lap main event. Joey was running fifth at the beginning of the sixth lap when he was caught up in an accident which involved pole-sitter Laela Eisenschenk rolling in front of him causing significant front end damage to the 7P.

Tucker also was unable to finish the race with Tucker finishing 17th and Joey getting credit for 22nd.

The pair re-grouped and headed west back to Devils Lake Speedway on Saturday night for weekly Late Model competition. Joey scored another heat win while Tucker finished third in his heat race.

The pair have seemingly been glued at the hip early on in the season as Joey and Tucker made up the third row with Joey starting on the inside and Tucker outside.

The pair went three-wide with Cole Schill in turns one and two at the start of the race while all three closed in on Rusty Kollman for fourth. Joey finished the opening circuit fourth with Tucker battling Kollman and Kevin Robertson for the final spot inside the top five.

As Joey took third from Steve Anderson, Tucker found himself in a dogfight for every position from fifth to tenth as the bottom of the third-mile became the preferred line. Tucker completed the seventh lap going three-wide with Robertson and Schill to try and climb back into the top five.

Tucker avoided a spinning Cole Schill at the commencement of lap eight and restarted sixth. Tucker found himself three-wide again on the restart but this time it was Kollman and Steve Anderson but it was Tucker that remained in the top five at the end of the lap.

While Tucker remained in the hornets nest, Joey battled Travis Robertson for second before a second caution with 18 to go. Joey and Tucker found themselves side-by-side again on the restart as they continued to complete the top five.

Four wide briefly with Ryan Dahl and Jason Strand saw the pair continue to run fourth and fifth at the midway point. Another restart with 13 to go saw Tucker take fourth from Joey but a few laps later Tucker headed to the infield with mechanical woes, ending an outstanding performance.

One final restart with five to go saw Joey in the middle of a three-wide with Schill and Dahl as Schill continued a march from the rear of the field following his early spin. Joey completed the final handful of circuits, finishing in the fifth position.
