Joey Pederson Racing Enjoys an Unforgettable Three-Win Weekend

EAST GRAND FORKS, Minn. (August 2, 2019) – An unforgettable season for the entire Joey Pederson Racing team got even better last weekend. All three drivers, Joey, Kelsi, and Tucker, visited victory lane in their respective classes. 

It all began on Friday night at River Cities Speedway as Tucker raced to his second win of the season against a stacked 19-car field. Tucker started third on the grid, but made a bold four-wide pass for the lead in the first set of corners on the opening lap to take the lead. Once out front, Tucker checked out and easily cruised to the feature win. 

The winning continued on Saturday as both Joey and Kelsi parked their machines in victory lane at Greenbush Raceway. 

Joey started on the front row of the NLRA Late Model main event and jumped out to the early lead over Mike Balcaen. A quick caution reset the field and put Balcaen alongside Joey once again for the restart. Again, Joey got the advantage as the green flag waved and showed the way. 

Joey drove out to a full straightaway lead over the rest of the field in the first half of the race, but that advantage was erased as the caution was displayed again with less than 10 laps to go. After the race went green, Joey quickly built up a comfortable advantage once again as he raced to his ninth career NLRA victory and first since 2015. 

Kelsi also visited victory lane in her No. 93 Lightning Sprint on Saturday for her fourth win of the season. Kelsi quickly grabbed the lead from the third starting position before building up a comfortable lead. Kelsi went on to pick up the win by over three-and-a-half seconds to claim her first win of the season at the speedway. All four of Kelsi’s wins have come at different tracks.
